A major brokerage firm is looking for a production support specialist with a Java background. You will work in a mixed trading setting, with a variety of trading verticals.
You should have an excellent background with financial methodologies and instruments. You also need a good background in Java and Big Data. Hadoop and/or Spark skills is what we seek. Specific experience with Cloudera, and its data lakes, is highly desirable. ETL and general data manipulation/data warehousing expertise is also needed. Kubernetes understanding is desirable.
You will work with our applications team in providing production support to traders. You will deal with things like access control, disaster recovery, general support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and testing. You should focus on applications availability, with the ability to provide quick resolutions to ongoing issues. All work is done in a live production environment. You will also provide documentation, incident tracking, and interact with users.
